Wow! What a wild ride! This book was very entertaining with quite a bit of feeling "oooo! What is going to happen next?" You do not have to read the previous books in this series to enjoy it! Maggie Shayne wrote a very inventive vampire story with how "the Armageddon" of vampires transpires (hee, hee - a rhyme). The romance was done artfully. There was not a bunch of gratuitous sex to make you blush. The building romance of James (a.k.a. J.W) and Lucy was done with finesse.

There are a lot of interesting characters in the story that add to the story. I have a feeling the other couples in this book have their own stories that precede this story. I am looking forward to reading more in this series and I am really excited to read the next book in this series. The author left one heck of a cliff-hanger to whet your appetite for the next book.
