My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Journeyman’s Ride by Marie Hart is an interesting science fiction story with many paranormal elements. Miranda is duty-bound to search for her cousin, the Princess of York, and save her from probable ruination. Her cousin is not worthy of this feat since she tends to be selfish rather than tenderhearted. Miranda must travel across the perilous Damned Plains to extricate the princess from her dire circumstances despite her questionable character.

Danner is a an honorable journeyman with the ability to stand against deadly lightning bolts sent down by the gods. Danner encounters Miranda when she survives a deadly train wreck caused by god-bolts. She approaches Danner to request his guidance across the Damned Plains upon the referral of a mutual friend. They both feel an instant attraction to each other. As they face the myriad dangers of the plains they become more inured with each other.

The adventures they share spice their attraction to each other and solidify a promising relationship. Along the way they share some spicy loving which adds to the anticipation and excitement of the risky undertaking they have embarked on. This story is short and packed with some interesting mythology and adventure. You just never know where true love will crop up. Marie Hart is able to compose a beguiling tale that charms the reader with a short story about love with a mythical inclination.

Happy Reading from Bona Fide Reflections!
